Originally posted to FaceBook June 19, 2019 with article link (may be dead) - moved here July 24, 2021 The part that irks me the most about this article, is the part where a sitting Republican member of Congress flatly states - "We are not going to balance this budget by cutting spending. Where is the majority support in the House for spending cuts? Where are the 60 votes in the Senate for it? It's not happening" . . . that is so frustrating to me. It tells me that 1 - we have the wrong people in all houses of Congress and 2 - that those that are there consider themselves so secure in their positions that they can't even fathom to call for change at election time to correct the issue. By this article, this is the #1 issue for voters of both parties and literally NO ONE in DC from either party is addressing it. Unacceptable, the one issue that will literally end our democracy, and it is ignored. www.foxnews.com/politics/deficits-exploding-and-neither-party-seems-to-care?fbclid=IwAR2ZkMpWErSdRmoKv6WbW7Q5xFtNNoku0RB-rst5GkOXwRqWFzPf0jGw6mY
